Armand Sohet joined AkzoNobel in July 2023 as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and member of the Executive Committee.
Armand has extensive experience heading the HR function of publicly traded companies. He has led transformations in industrial businesses with complex manufacturing operations, but also as the HR partner of multi-channel commercial organizations.
Armand started his career with Stellantis in automotive production sites. He then moved to the pharmaceutical industry with Novartis as Sales Force HR partner. He was later appointed Head of Human Resources for Western Europe and then for the Ophthalmology division. After Novartis, Armand became Head of Human Resources for the Thales Group’s Defense & Security Division, followed by six years as the CHRO of General Electric’s electrical infrastructure business. For the past seven years, Armand was CHRO and Chief Sustainability Officer for Sulzer, based in Winterthur, Switzerland. Armand holds degrees in Mathematics and Sociology from Besançon University and in Political Science from Institut d’Etudes Politiques Paris.
